Iphone Speakers - ipod speaker, portable speakers

For just over thirty bucks, which is half of its MSRP, this thing is a marvelous value...I was just looking for portability, portability, and portability. Not expecting any incredible sound quality, other than a noticeable improvement over my laptop's built in speakers...and this baby delivers in spades!

Beautiful design and a shocking amount of power (volume) and bass despite its tiny size and lack of an independent AC power supply. Of course this is not going to compete with higher quality powered monitors like the M-Audio Studiophile 40 but hey that baby costs at least four times as much and is almost four times bulkier. Of course it's not going to remotely compete with my audiophile bookshelf speakers and TA amp. Of course you're not going to throw a party with this thing. But for nearfield listening or background listening, or watching a movie or TV, especially when you're travelling, it more than gets the job done and is far more comfortable than wearing headphones.

My only wish is that this came with some sort of clips so that I could rest the speaker on top of my laptop's monitor. Might have to go buy some velcro tape, perhaps. The sound IS tons better if you can position the speaker to be at the same height, or just slightly above, your ear level.

It just kills me that this little baby puts out more or less the same, if not outright better, sound quality than that ridiculous Bose Sound Dock which costs over 10 times as much! I am ordering a second one as a gift for one of my friends, in fact. SimplyVibe SV-S300 2.1 Channel w/ subwoofer Portable Speakers (Gloss White) for iPad, iPod, iTouch, iPhone, MP3 Players, Laptops (Mac/ PC) - (USB Or Battery Powered)

We have several Ipod shuffles and recently I purchased an Ipod Touch for my 16 year old. She needed some speakers for the Touch to use in her bedroom & traveling. Besides the obvious things you look for w/speakers, what we did NOT want was speakers that charged her ipod while plugged in, so I was thrilled to find these speakers. So many speakers charge the ipod - we don't want that. The SimplyVibe S300 I purchased from Amazon is exactly what we were looking for! The white-look is very sharp & matches her white furniture. She loves the speakers & the volume can get plenty loud w/out distortion. Since we already have a usb power adaptor that we use for charging all our ipods (charges faster than a computer) we use it on the speakers (keep it plugged in all the time). The speakers come w/the usb cord, so you plug that into the adaptor & then into the wall electric outlet. They cost around $8 each if you don't already have one & prefer to power your speakers by wall electric outlet rather than computer or batteries.

Since I also purchased the SimplyVibe S350 (from ebay) about a week before the S300, to use in our bathroom w/the Ipod Shuffles, I'll give you a quick comparison. Both SimplyVibe speakers have great sound and are capable of playing at louder, distortion-free volumes than the speakers I already had (one was an isound brand, the other Shower Media Player). The S350 is more versatile (more music options)but the multi-use play/pause/power buttons are confusing. The S350 comes w/a rechargeable lithium battery, which is a nice plus (not included w/the S300-probably part of the reason the S300 costs less). The white S300 has very straight-forward, 3 easy to understand, buttons. Both are sleek, nice looking & feel like quality workmanship. Much nicer than what I had!

This little speaker system exceeded my expectations. It has much better sound than I expected in such a small speaker. It is very easy to set up. Just plug it into your USB and it starts to play. Of course there is not a lot of bass. The "subwoofer" is just a woofer and mayby gives an extra octive of bass over my laptop speakers. It is a huge improvement in volume and sound dynamics over laptop speakers. Good stereo imaging for how close the drivers are. Good for nearfield listening. This is definitly more compact and easier to set up than my Bose speakers and for most listening it will do the trick.

The auxilary input does not give the volume level of the usb connection. That defeats one of the reasons I picked this model over the others. It would be nice to have used this for portable sound for picknics and other activities. I do not think it will be loud enough unless pluged into a laptop. It is a big difference in volume.

Overall this is an excellent little product. It did take a few hours to "burn in" the drivers. The sound and bass improved once the drivers loosened up.

I bought this speaker for a custom laptop stand I was making and I wanted something that ran usb that had a subwoofer. this is a great little speaker setup! now obviously, it isn't like my main altec lansing system or my surroundsound system, but for a laptop or netbook, this is a great little speaker! subwoofer isn't loud, but you can definitely hear the bass and tell its there! the speakers get loud enough to where you want to turn it down, but not loud enough to where you can't hear anything. sound quality is very good, better than i expected. nice little speakers

you just have to be careful of two things: one, when you turn the computer off, if you have the batteries in the speaker will stay on until you manually turn it off- easy way to burn through batteries if you use it with your ipod or anything with the headphone jack. two, like a usb controller, you have to have it plugged in and the software ready before you bring up itunes or zune or window media player or whatever you use, or you won't get the sound through the speakers. two little things just to watch, but overall an excellent little speaker system!

Excellent sound. Roger Ebert recommended this based on it's perfect vocal replication, & he was right.

This works well with computers and mp3 players.

My only gripe is that it would have been nice to have an option to power it from a wall plug. - Iphone - Ipod Speaker - Iphone Speakers - Portable Speakers'
