I was looking for lightweight pants that could be converted into shorts, that i could wear over my skimpy running shorts while traveling on mass transit. These are just about as perfect as i could have hoped for. Fit well, look good, and weigh next to nothing, which is important when i strap them on to the back of my hydration pack, and set off for a couple hours of running. I can use them as pants in cooler weather, and shorts in the summer. They run long, but i have long legs, just cuffed up the bottoms. The only thing i would change is that i need to wear a belt with them- i would prefer if they had a drawstring, or built-in lightweight belt.
