This tv protector fits on our new 46 inch Samsung LED LCD very well. You cannot say it is installed on the TV. After spending a good amount of money on our new HDTV my husband thought that the TV screen protector would ruin the TV looks but that is not true at all.
My son tested the protector the first day we had it on. It is also great for protection from Wii players - my older sun being one of those. Installations is easy - the only thing is keeping it away from dust while unpacking. The protector just sticks on the TV - we had it for about four months and I only took it off once to see how that works - basically it clicks on and off to the fasteners that remain on the TV. There wasn't much dust on the TV screen or the protector.
It seems impossible to me that someone will break the screen of our 46 inch TV with the protector on.
